'Raera Farm' is a working hill farm offering a choice of four self catering properties in an outstanding setting 9 miles from Oban.
The Estate extends to 500 acres bordered by the River Euchar.
The area is rich in wildlife including foxes, otters, badgers, mink and wildcats.
The area has many birds and golden eagles, buzzards and herons have been sighted.
The Farmhouse was built in the early 18th Century and part of it is now converted to provide a self contained self catering
property with its own entrance. There is also a self-catering cottage, a studio apartment and a chalet.
Fishing can be arranged on the River Euchar (water level permitting), however, fishing can also be arranged on the many
trout lochs in the area throughout the season.
The accommodation is equally suited to those wishing a peaceful relaxing holiday, taking in the clean, sweet air while enjoying
the many walks in the area or to those who wish to explore the region.
The splendid west coast town of Oban with its clean sandy beach, fine harbour, and renowned McCaig's Folly is reached
in minutes (8 miles), and has daily ferry sailings to Mull and the outer Isles.
Oban has a large variety of interesting shops, post office, banking facilities, garages, many fine hotels and the exciting,
hilly golf course at Glencruitten Golf Club.
Here too, you will find McTavish's Kitchens. This now famous establishment offers a wide selection of Scottish dishes as
well as a nightly Scottish Cabaret ( 8.30pm to 10.30 pm) from whit weekend until the end of September.
Pony trekking is available near Oban and at Melford Village, Kilmelford.
In Oban you will also find water sports facilities as well as a swimming pool with sauna and solarium suites.
