Bridge over River Leven Balloch   16 Lauderdale Gardens

'16 Lauderdale Gardens' is an elegantly furnished apartment providing exceptionally comfortable accommodation for
4 to 5 persons.
Situated close to Loch Lomond in it's own communal gardens, the apartment is part of a former rather grand hotel building
of Art Deco architechture built in 1925.
The accommodation is on the second floor and provides open panoramic views of Ben Lomond and the surrounding countryside.
The village of Balloch has numerous hotels, pubs and restaurants as well as a number of craft and gift shops.
Activities available include fishing, walking, hill walking, mountaineering, trekking, watersports and golf.
The exclusive Loch Lomond Golf Club, host to the celebrated Loch Lomond Invitation, is reached in minutes.
The Loch Lomond National Park Visitor Centre, due to open in spring 2002, is only a short distance from the apartment.
Loch Lomond is Britain's largest inland waterway (27 square miles). Here weather permitting, boat trips on Loch Lomond may
be enjoyed.
From the loch you can see the villages dotted along the loch's banks. Probably the best known of these is the village of
Luss where the Independent Television Series "High Road" is filmed.
The road route north follows the lochside allowing access to the numerous hamlets and the villages of Luss and Tarbet.
At Tarbet, the road continues northwards past the Falls of Falloch to Crianlarich.
An alternative route at Tarbet, leads to the village of Arrocher which lies at the most northerly point of Loch Long and the famous
'Cobbler', well known by all with an interest in mountaineering.
Fort William and the scenic rail route accross the Glenfinnan Viaduct to Malliag is particularly outstanding and high on the list
of almost all who visit the area.
A good bus and rail service provides ease of access to the entire region.
The city of Glasgow is reached in around 30 minutes while Scotland's Capital City Edinburgh can be reached in not much
more than an hour.
Scotland's ancient capital Stirling is also reached in 30 minutes.
Ayr, with it's museum to Robert Burns ( "Burn's Cottage"), is also within easy reach.
Glasgow Airport is reached in 20 minutes.
