Loch Lomond   Mountain View

The cottage is situated in the village of Tarbet which lies on the banks of Scotland's most beautiful loch - Loch Lomond.
It has a large enclosed garden to the rear (complete with garden furniture).
Traveling northward, Tarbert is located approximately three quarters of the way up the loch.
The village, although small, boasts a large hotel, small tearoom, craft shop and restaurant, as well as a Post Office.
The restaurant and craft shop are located in the old Tarbet church which has been beautifully restored. This is only a
2 minute walk from the house.
The hotel, tearoom and post office are a short walk away.
There are small but well stocked general/food stores in Arrochar which is 2 miles away.
Tarbet is also fortunate enough to be on the West Highland railway line (station is a 5 minutes walk) which makes it ideal
for expeditions by train to Fort William, Oban and Mallaig (where you can catch the ferry to the Isle of Skye).
There is a bus service which connects Tarbet with Glasgow to the South and Fort William to the North.
The bus stop is a short walk from the house.
Tarbet enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding countryside including Ben Lomond (Scotland's most southerly Munro)
and surrounding hills.
Luss, the location used by Scottish Television to film the series "High Road", lies 9 miles south of Tarbet on the shores of
Loch Lomond.
Tarbet is an ideal base for touring and outdoor activities such as mountaineering, lochside and woodland walks, sailing
and water-skiing.
Boat trips depart daily from the pier across from the Tarbet Hotel.
