A friendly Highland welcome awaits the holidaymaker at this detached family home only 2.5 miles from the centre of Fort William.
Mrs Fiona Campbell , the owner of this family run three star Bed and Breakfast has 14 years experience in providing friendly,
comfortable accommodation for guests to enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere.
Tranquilly located in The Great Glen it has stunning views of the U.K.'s highest mountain ~ Ben Nevis (4066 feet).
Offering Bed and Breakfast Accommodation on both nightly and weekly basis, 'Leasona' is open all year round providing
excellent accommodation in tastefully furnished rooms.
Fort William is an all year round holiday location from which to enjoy climbing, hill walking, fishing, canoeing, water sports and golf.
During the winter months skiing is available at Aonach Mor (1 mile from Leasona) and Glen Coe.
Often referred to as the gateway to the Highlands, Fort William is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the area.
Take the magical road to the Isles, past Glenfinnan monument, to Arisaig and Morar where the road runs alongside lagoon
like bays and vast stretches of unspoiled silver sands.
Drive up the Great Glen and hunt for Nessie, "the Loch Ness Monster".
Visit the Loch Ness Monster Visitor Centre which has audio\visual displays, a restaurant and gift shop. Close by are the
impressive ruins of Urquhart Castle, the grounds of which give panoramic views of Loch Ness.
Enjoy a cruise to the Small Isles and dolphin watch on the way.
To the south lies Glencoe (20 miles), the "Glen of Weeping", where the infamous massacre of the MacDonalds took place in
1692, when men under the command of Campbell of Glenlyon, defied the traditions of Highland hospitality by slaughtering
their hosts, the MacDonalds.
The massacre took place in the lower glen near Glencoe village, close to the site of the heather roofed museum where there
are displays of Highland life.
The west coast resort of Oban with its ferry links to the Hebridean Islands is a further 30 miles, and well worthy of a visit.
Little wonder Fort William is such a popular base for touring this spectacular area of Scotland.
