Looking South towards Lochcarron   Stalker's Cottage

Stalker's Cottage is a traditional Highland stone cottage standing in open estate land and with superb views all round to
the mountains and hills. The top end of Loch Carron can also be seen, some half mile away.
The cottage is situated approximately 2 miles east of Lochcarron village and is in a very quiet position well away from the
main road.

The property has been the subject of a major restoration and internal refurbishment which was completed in June 2003
to a very high standard. As a result, all the internal fixtures and fittings such as kitchen units, electrical appliances, etc.,
are new. The house has been very tastefully modernised whilst retaining many traditional features - e.g. panelled walls,
stone fireplace, sash windows (double-glazed and sealed).

The cottage has a single storey and consists of one bedroom with a double bed, together with a large open-plan
kitchen/dining room/lounge, and a bathroom.
The bathroom has direct access from the bedroom as well as from the rear hallway.

Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement. This is a crofting area, so it is important that dogs should be kept
well under control at all times.

Lochcarron is on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, some 63 miles west of Inverness, and is an excellent base
for touring the North West Highlands, with places such as Plockton, Applecross (with it's famous high-level approach via
the Bealach na Ba), Shieldaig, Torridon, and Skye, all being within easy reach.

There are many good walks in the area to suit all tastes and abilities, ranging from gentle strolls to more serious hill-walking.
There are several Munro's in the vicinity, and a number of long-distance walks starting from Glen Carron just a short distance
to the east. One such walk actually starts very near to the cottage itself.

River, loch, and sea fishing are all available locally, and Lochcarron has a slipway for launching boats, together with a
number of visitor moorings.

There is a golf course a short distance down the road from the cottage, to which visitors are welcome. The course is on the
shores of Loch Carron in a lovely setting with superb views south across the loch.

Lochcarron village and the surrounding area has all necessary local amenities, with hotels, bars, restaurants, garages,
filling stations, shops, post office, and a bank (with Cashpoint).

Stalker's Cottage is a most delightful property, in a really quiet and peaceful location, and set amidst some of the most
beautiful mountain scenery in the British Isles. Do pay us a visit - we're sure you will not be disappointed!
